First, you'll need a wallet. We recommend Rabby, from the good people at DeBank.
Other options include Zerion and Metamask.
Coinbase doesn't support Sonic yet, so the easiest path is to buy USDC on Coinbase, withdraw to your wallet on Base, and then bridge to Sonic. You'll need a small amount of Ethereum for gas on Base for the bridge transaction. If you don't have any, you can also buy this on Coinbase and withdraw it to Base — but it comes with higher fees than USDC withdrawals.
Once you're on Base, we recommend using Rhino.fi to bridge to Sonic. Select the "get S tokens on Sonic" if you need gas for Sonic.
Check if your exchange supports direct withdrawals of S to Sonic. If so, that's the easiest path. If not, proceed as if bridging from Coinbase.
We recommend Rhino.fi, but other options include Debridge, Stargate, and Zerion. Fees and swap rates may vary, so if bridging large amounts, it is advisable to shop around for the best rates.
